Orion Money Community Update — July & August 2021
Dear Orion Money Community,
The past two months were extremely busy and fulfilling months for Orion Money. Since the launch of Orion Saver Alpha in June, we have made multiple UI/UX improvements, passed additional audits, build further partnerships, and officially launched our Private Farming event which greatly exceeded our targets. We are so excited to share with you all the key developments that have happened, let’s dive into the details:
1. Orion Saver Developments
UI/UX and front-end updates
- Developed a smart contract and front-end for Private Farming (Currently only available to Private Farming whitelisted participants)
- We have made fees and estimated final deposit amount much more transparent to improve the user deposit experience
- Users and investors can now track Orion Money’s TVL by stablecoins via our user-friendly TVL dashboard
Gas fees optimization
At the top of our priority list, we have been working on minimizing Ethereum gas fees and swap slippage for Orion Saver deposits. We have developed already one solution and will launch it this week (week commencing August 30th.):
- Internal exchange pools for USDC, USDT, and wUST which will be directly exchanged into aUSDC, aUSDT, and aUST respectively. Users depositing into Orion Saver deposits less than $20,000 will have no slippage or bridge fees (as compared to the current 0.5% of a deposit amount) and the Ethereum gas fees will be estimated 5X lower than currently.
We will also continue working on other solutions to make Orion Saver deposits easy and affordable for everybody.
Audits and Partnerships
- Passed 2 additional smart contract audits by solidified and RD Auditors with great results
- Established partnerships with 2 insurance providers, InsureAce and Unslashed, for the Private Farming launch to enhance safety and security.
2. Media Coverages
- We partnered with Spectre Group and InsurAce and co-organized 2 AMA sessions to share more about Orion Money with their communities
- Orion Money was also featured together on CoinGecko Virtual Meetup #15, together with Bobby Ong (Co-founder, Coin Gecko), Jose Maria Macedo (Partner, Delphi Digital), and Do Kwon (Co-founder and CEO, Terraform Labs)
3. Private Farming
- Orion Money whitelisted over $70m in committed TVL from 700+ investors, projects, and communities for our Private Farming event
- Our Private Farming event officially went live on August 16th
- We achieved our target of $70m in deposits within 3.5 days. This was way ahead of our planned 21 days and exceeded even our own ambitious targets. Huge thanks to all the investors, projects, and communities who actively took part in our Private Farming event!
4. Community growth
- Orion Money’s Twitter following has grown to 17K+ and Telegram group has grown to more than 5,300 members. Our community growth has been 100% organic, and we are extremely thankful to have such a fast-growing and engaged community 🙏🙏🙏
What’s next for Orion Money?
- Upcoming IDOs: We intend to make access to the $ORION token as inclusive as possible, hence, we will be having 4 IDOs and Airdrops on both Ethereum and Terra at the end of September.
- We will be releasing further information on our IDOs across our social media platforms in the weeks to come.
